TETBURY WALKING FESTIVAL
26th, 27th and 28th April 2019

ALL WALKS ARE FREE!
This year we have 9 walks (including one for pushchairs and wheelchairs) all starting from Tetbury Goods Shed Arts Centre. There is free car parking, nearby and you will find it off Cirencester Road GL8 8EY. Look out for the car park signs near the Royal Oak. Refreshments are available near our meeting point and in town. Toilet facilities are usually available for customers.

A Friday 26th April 2019 10:00 a.m Inspiring Tetbury - An easy circular walk of 3.5 miles never leaving sight of St Mary’s steeple. 2 hours
​
B Friday 26th April 2:00 p.m. Hare and Hounds - A relatively easy circular walk of 6.5 miles down quiet country lanes to an old coaching inn and past Highgrove, home of HRH Prince Charles. There will be an opportunity to stop at the pub for drinks. 3.5 hours
​
C Saturday 27th April 10:00 a.m. Mill on the Fosse - Discover the River Avon, a Roman Road, an old Mill and an Arab Stud Farm. 6.3 miles, 3.5 hours. Bring a snack!
​
D Saturday 27th April 10:30 a.m. Pushchair & wheelchair friendly! - Following the old railway line and back. There is an opportunity for a drink or lunch at the Goods Shed at the end of the walk. 2.5m, 2 hours.
​
E Saturday 27th April 11:00 a.m. Duchy Walk - By kind permission we have a rare opportunity to walk part of Prince Charles’ estate via the old railway line, Trouble House Pub and back via Tetbury Common. 4 miles, 2+ hours depending on break duration.
​
F Saturday 27th April 2:00 p.m. Seeking Tetbury’s Heritage - A relatively easy 5.5 mile walk taking in Chavenage House (where the TV series Poldark was filmed) and a hermit’s cave. 2.5 hours. Bring a snack!
​
G Sunday 28th April 10:00 a.m Cat and Custard Pot - An easy circular walk of approx. 6.5 miles - through lovely horsey parkland to a pretty village and return via a secluded valley. There is the opportunity to stop at a pub for drinks or lunch or bring a snack! 3.5 hours.
​
H Sunday 28th April 1:00 p.m. Ashley Loop - One of Gloucestershire’s new Gateway routes. 6.5 miles mainly flat through local fields. 3 hours.
​
I Sunday 28th April 2:00 p.m Tetbury’s Lung - An easy circular walk of 4 miles through Preston Park to Little Lark Hill and back via Long Newnton. 2 hours
